( as it happens, she saw nothing, so his contact is surprising at the least and worrying at most. she'd been pointedly ignoring him, and vice versa; or so she had assumed. the fact that he suddenly found reason to speak to her is .. interesting .. particularly because she could not understand why he would choose to address her now of all times.
